Announcing our Players Of The Week for Weeks 4 through 6:
Our Player Of The Week for Week 4 is Colin Urban of Pinball Outreach Project! Colin went a perfect four for four in his team’s victory at home against Ship Ahoy. He teamed up with Jonathan Illig in the first round to defeat Ivan Gwynn and Kasey Bond on Grand Prix, then won his two singles rounds against James Adamson on The Getaway and John Hartman on Paragon. He ended the night by continuing his win streak on Embryon with a doubles victory against James Adamson and John Hartman. This is Colin’s third Player Of The Week award, and the second Player Of The Week award given to a member of the Pinball Outreach Project team this season.
Our Player Of The Week for Week 5 is…also Colin Urban of Pinball Outreach Project! Colin went four for four again in his team’s home victory against Wink Wink Nudge Nudge, making him the only player in league history to pull the feat in back to back weeks. He opened the night on Spiderman against Rosie Richmond and Ken Martin on Spiderman, taking the win with some help from Thomas Urban. He would go on to face Ken Martin twice in singles, defeating him both times on Embryon in the second round and World Cup Soccer ’94 in the third. He capped off the night with another doubles win alongside Jonathan Illig against Ken Martin and Rosie Richmond, this time on Paragon. This is Colin’s fourth overall Player Of The Week award, and his (and the league’s) first ever consecutive Player Of The Week award.
Our Player Of The Week for Week 6 is Kane MacAniff of Scoreboard But With The Cool S! Kane went three for four in his team’s loss against GKO at Ground Kontrol. Kane and Geoff Greene took a win in the first round on Monster Bash against Dylan Higgins and Lisa Perkins.
